The thoughts of the past few nights were flooding his subconcious. The night of Lucas swearing to become a vampire hunter, then hearing of this incantation, it was a lot to take in. William laid in his coffin with the lid pried open to enjoy the moonlight as it poured into the room. He only had a few hours of it left and he was enjoying the silence. Ciro had retired to his coffin not an hour before.
His eyes twitched every so often as he just stared at the moon which seemed so much brighter and bigger to him. The stars he saw now were more than he had seen as a human. The memories of playing with the neighborhood boys and Lucas that night in the forest came to his head. William grimaced and sat up. He could still remember exactly all the bodies, how mangled and what their faces looked like. He hated thinking of it but when he was alone, his mind traveled to so many different thoughts, and one of the main thoughts were of that night, and the reappearence of Lucas only made it worse.
William took out the journal and felt at the material with the symbol etched into the front. This thing, this journal, was a tie to the man sleeping in the coffin next to him. He was teaching him about a new life, sure, but it was his fault he was in this life. He glared at the book and threw it onto the ground next to his coffin. It landed with a muffled thump, the boards that made the floor creaking slightly fromt he sudden impact. He rose from his coffin slowly.
The young boy looked at the larger, dark red, smooth coffin next to his own. He waited for a few moments to make sure he hadnt woken his mentor. After a few minutes of silence, William stepped out of his own coffin and lifted his jacket off the ground and slipped it on. He looked back once at the coffins which were the only thing furbishing the empty room of the abandoned building. They just sat there with the moonlight streaming through the window descending upon them both. Building up more courage, he opened the creaking door and walked out.

He walked briskly through the empty streets as cold air blew at his back. He just needed some time on his own. It was his home town, he wanted to check on a few things. He hadn't left Ciro a note of any kind, but he had a feeling the orange haired elder wouldnt be too worried. William couldnt go far on his own, especially when he still knew so little of the world he now lived in. He pulled a hand out of his pocket and reached up to his breast pocket over his heart. He felt it, it was still there. He sighed in relief before puting the hand back into his coat pocket.
It was nice to be able to walk without having to worry about Ciro watching him or picking on him whenever he passed a part of his childhood. He stopped as he noticed he was infront of the old clock store. He remembered when he and Lucas would go into the shop and reset most of the clocks before they would get caught and shoo them out. He could almost see it and it made him smile. He shook his head and began down the streets again.
He could almost see all the memories as he walked through. The buildings he would go into, running down the streets with the other boys, him and Lucas commanding most of them. He watched the streets as if it were his memories come to life and playing in front of his eyes and it made him smile. However, he blinked and these memories were gone and he was painfully aware he was the only one on the dark streets. His smile fell and he sighed, continuing his walk.
His footsteps seemed so much louder than they were, bringing a feeling of loneliness. He was walking the streets of his hometown again, yet he couldnt see anyone he once knew. He couldn't go in any building, he couldnt talk to anyone, and he couldn't see anybody. The wind blew at his face now, stirring up the leaves that fell onto the streets from the few trees planted into the sideways.
William stopped abruptley however, when one place caught his eyes. The structure and the gate way were familiar. He knew what it was. It was his old home. His icey eyes widened at the sight of the old, dark house. He had almost forgot about seeing the house, and the man who lived inside. Did the old man even remember him? Would he even want to know William was still alive? Pushing back all these questions, Will swallowed down his fear and nervousness and began to walk in the direction of the house.
The thoughts nagged at him. To look inside, to see his dad, the living room where he always did his reading. To see the grandfather clock he'd always watch when he was little. To see the pictures of him and his father, his desk where he would sit and write letters. But no matter how the thoughts nagged, he simply strided past the old building. It was his home no longer, the man inside was not one he wanted anything to do with, and the possessions in the home were no longer his.
He walked past with no regret as he continued down the streets past the homes. He looked up at the dark sky, though some of the stars he had seen earlier had faded. He only had a few hours left before the sun would rise and he would have to go back. He had never had an experience in the sun and hoped never to.

He soon came to the locked gates of the cemetary, the name 'Lasting Wills Cemetary'created above the gate by the spiked iron. He looked to the gates and found them locked by an old, rusted pad lock. He touched his hand to the cool, rough surface of the metal of the lock and the rust, the brown flakes falling to the grass below. He stared at it for a few moments before gripping it tightly his hand and ripping it away from the metal.
The gates moved out but then opened forward into the cemetary from the force of him pulling off the lock. "Guess vampires do have a lot of strength." He muttered before dropping the lock, hearing it land with a thud and walking into the cemetary.
His gaze was guided all around at the different headstones. The one in crosses hurt his head lightly so he made a note to walk farther away from them. Some had moss growing onto the cold surfaces, others had been so worn that the text and pieces of the structure itself had faded or chipped off. When he saw the ones that were so underkept, he felt sad for those people. No one would come and take care of their graves and it seemed there were no flowers for any of them. "How sad, for a person to be forgotten after their time on Earth."
With a shake of his head, he continued down the rows of headstones, careful not to step on any grave itself. Soon he came to what he was looking for. A head stone that was just a few inches in front of a tree near the back wall of the cemetary. The name was faded, but he knew who it belonged to. He knelt before the grave stone and stared at him. "...Hi mother."
He sat in the silence and darkness for a few moments, staring at the resting place of his mother. He sat, reminiscing in his childhood with her before she had passed away. He reached into his breast pocket and pulled out the photograph of his mother holding him when he had been born. From what his father had told him, his mother had his icey blue eyes and her hair was blond. From the photo, he saw her hair went to her shoulder blades and was exceptionally curly.
He looked up to the grave stone. He had only been here three times with his father before his dad said it was 'useless' to come and see a dead person. William had always wanted to come back to the site, but minors werent allowed into the cemetary without an adult. "Let's see you punish me now." He mumbled and stared at the photo again before setting the photograph against the grave. "Sorry mom, I would have come before if dad would have taken me.
"At least I can come now. But, this will be my only visit. After tonight...I'm not staying just William. I have got to change and give up any hope of my old life. I've realized that now." He took the moment after his speaking to notice the graveyard had grown eerily quiet. "I love you mom, I'm sorry that you couldnt be there to see me grow up. But, I stop growing now. I'm renouncing my ties....I'm sorry." "Finally you've realized."
Turning back, he saw Ciro standing a few feet behind him. The elder had his hands tucked into his pockets but his face held a serious look. "Ciro? What are you doing here? How long have you been there?" He asked as he still kneeled there. "I got here a few minutes ago. I heard you leave but decided to give you your space, but then I started overthinking and came to find you." He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Anyways, you speaking to your dead mother?" He asked.
William narrowed his eyes at him and turned back to look at the picture. "I'm paying my last respects. I've realized a lot of things, especially after seeing Lucas. That friend I once had...what we had, will never be again. All the boys I was once friends with are dead, and my father will never want me back...and truthfully, I dont want to go back." He said softly as he just stared at the picture of his mother. "I'm a vampire now...this life isnt for me anymore. I need to realize it and let go of my ties."
Ciro watched the young boy then nodded. "That's exactly right. You're maturing, I'm proud." He said then walked to him and held out his hand to him. "Come William. Let's go. The sun will be up soon. Tomorrow evening, we will leave and travel away from here." He stated. William didnt move. "This is why you brought, wasn't it Ciro? You brought me only a year after my change, to make me realize that things will never be the same and I had to give it up." Ciro shrugged and nodded. "Basically yeah." He stated. William turned his head and looked up at the vampire.
In the darkness, he could still see the features of the older man but still even in the lighting, his orange eyes seemed to be glowing. It was a few seconds before William grabbed onto his hand and Ciro helped him to his feet. "Let's go Ciro. I'm tired." He said, not looking back as he started walking to the gate to leave. Ciro looked after his student then to the grave and the photo. He smiled a bit and bowed before it before chuckling and following William, leaving the last real piece of William far behind them.

Awesome! XD It was worth the wait L! ^_^ The whole chapter is just so well written, I especially like Ciro's add in. XD (aw) The whole chapter over all is very necessary into displaying the transition that William as forced to go through. The explanation on both sides kind of give away Ciro's character in the end (although he's misleading in the way he acts and holds himself-he's actually a very self-aware and caring character). Actually this kind of shows the differences between William's point of view at the beginning and his point of view at the end, showing just how mature he's grown and how influenced he was by Ciro himself. Actually, I really can't wait to read the next chapter! X3 Awesome work L! ^_^ OMG, I'm thinking Demetra is showing up in the next chapter. XD Drama! :iconmusicnoteplz: :iconimhappyplz:
